The difference between biomass pellet machine fuel and other fuels

Biomass pellet fuel is typically processed in the forestry “three residues” (harvest residues, material residues and processing residues), straw, rice husks, peanut husks, corncob and other raw materials. The briquette fuel is a renewable and clean fuel whose calorific value is close to that of coal.

Biomass pellets have been recognized as a new type of pellet fuel for their unique advantages. Compared with traditional fuels, it not only has economic advantages, but also has environmental benefits, fully meeting the requirements of sustainable development.

1. Compared with other energy sources, biomass pellet fuel is both economical and environmentally friendly.

2. Since the shape is granular, the volume is compressed, which saves storage space, facilitates transportation, and reduces transportation costs.

3. After the raw material is pressed into solid particles, it is helpful for full combustion, so that the combustion speed matches the decomposition speed. At the same time, the use of professional biomass heating furnaces for combustion is also conducive to the increase of the biomass value of the fuel and the calorific value.

Taking straw as an example, after the straw is compressed into biomass pellet fuel, the combustion efficiency is increased from less than 20% to more than 80%.

The combustion calorific value of straw pellets is 3500 kcal/kg, and the average sulfur content is only 0.38%. The calorific value of 2 tons of straw is equivalent to 1 ton of coal, and the average sulfur content of coal is about 1%.

In addition, the slag ash after complete combustion can also be returned to the field as fertilizer.

Therefore, the use of biomass pellet machine pellet fuel as heating fuel has strong economic and social value.

4. Compared with coal, pellet fuel has high volatile content, low ignition point, increased density, high energy density, and greatly increased combustion duration, which can be directly applied to coal-fired boilers. In addition, ash from biomass pellet combustion can also be used directly as potash fertilizer, saving costs.
