The slipping of the pressure wheel of the wood pellet machine is a common situation for most users who are not skilled in the operation of the newly purchased granulator. Now I will analyze the main reasons for the slippage of the granulator:
(1) The moisture content of the raw material is too high;
(2) The bell mouth of the mold is flattened, causing the mold to be out of stock.
Find the reason:
A. Wear conditions of the hoop, drive wheel and lining of the pellet mill;
B. The concentricity error of mold installation cannot exceed 0.3 mm;
C. The pressure wheel gap should be adjusted to: one-half of the working surface of the pressure wheel is working with the mold, and the gap adjustment wheel and the locking screw should be ensured to be in good working condition;
D. Don’t let the granulator idle for a long time when the pressure roller is slipping, and wait for it to discharge by itself;
E. The compression ratio of the used mold aperture is too high, which causes the large discharge resistance of the mold and is also one of the reasons for the slipping of the pressure roller;
F. Do not let the granulator run unnecessarily when there is no material feeding.
(3) The concentricity of the pressure roller and the main shaft is not good.
A. Improper installation of the pressure roller bearing causes the pressure roller skin to be eccentric to one side;
B. The mold for the bevel and cone assembly, the balance and concentricity are not adjusted during installation;
(4) The pressure roller bearing is seized, replace the pressure roller bearing.
(5) The pressure roller skin is not round, replace or repair the pressure roller skin; find the reason.
A. The quality of the pressure roller is unqualified;
B. The pressure roller is not shut down in time when it is slipping, and the pressure roller is idling for a long time due to friction.
(6) The pressure wheel spindle is bent or loose, replace or tighten the spindle, and check the condition of the pressure wheel spindle when replacing the mold and the pressure wheel;
(7) The working surface of the pressing wheel and the working surface of the mold are relatively misaligned (string side), replace the pressing wheel, and find the reason:
A. Improper installation of the pressure roller;
B. Deformation of the eccentric shaft of the pressing wheel;
C. The main shaft bearing or bushing of the granulator is worn;
D. The tapered reinforced flange is worn out, resulting in too much mold loading.
(8) The gap between the main shaft of the granulator is too large, and the granulator is overhauled to tighten the gap;
(9) The mold hole rate is low (less than 98%), drill through the mold hole with a pistol, or boil it in oil, and then feed it after grinding.
